Heidi Klum Pictures

Heidi Klum is legally known as Heidi Samuel since her marriage to Seal, but it is her original name that sticks with many and so it has been used for this particular posting. Heidi Klum was born in Germany, but today has American citizenship. In the previous posting, Gisele Bundchen was introduced who is the world's highest paid model and in second spot at this time is Heidi Klum who reached the $20 million mark (£12.4 million), which is just below half of that earned by Gisele Bundschen. It is important to note though that Heidi Klum's riches come more from her new business interests (fashion, TV etc) and so as an actual model she probably wouldn't be making any current lists. Both Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundschen have similar backgrounds noting Victoria's Secret and The Devil Wears Prada appearances.

Gisele Bundchen Pictures

For this Gisele Bündchen (Gisele Caroline Bündchen) posting, I will use the more commonly locally spelt Gisele Bundchen (minus that ü). This Brazilian fashion model has had the odd minor appearance in the films Taxi and The Devil Wears Prada, but is of course well known as being credited as being the highest paid model in the world; she has been since nearing the end of the time that she spent in Victoria's Secret Angels. Her earnings between 2010 and 2011 were around $45 million (£28 million). Despite the insane money coming through, it is good to hear that she works closely with charities. On the dating scene, Gisele Bundchen and Leonardo DiCaprio dated for around 5 years and she is now married to the NFL player Tom Brady who has a similar look to Leo. The two look settled now having had a baby together by the name Benjamin Rein Brady.

2011 Motorsport Fatalities: Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli

October has been a dark month for motorspot, with the IndyCar Dan Wheldon death on the 16th of October and the MotoGP Marco Simoncelli death on the 23rd of October. Dan Wheldon was an English racer at 33 years old and Marco Simoncelli was an Italian racer at just 24 years old. Many questions will be raised surrounding the safety of motorsport. With MotoGP, there has been 25 fatalties in this particular sport. Before the Marco Simoncelli death, Shoya Tomizawa died in 2010, but before that it was Daijiro Kato who died stretching back to 2003. Racing motorbikes is clearly dangerous and there will be unfortunate accidents that do happen, but MotoGP safety is as prominent as it ever has been, the problem with the Marco Simoncelli crash was simply that the helmet came off in this gruesome accident. Little could be done by the following two riders to collide with Marco.
